Greetings, everyone!
We have been frantically working to put together an amazing online experience for you this year, in place of our regular camp in Portal.
Our number one stated goal is for this year’s camp to provide you with the same, intensive, immersive experience that you would get in Portal. And we’re going to try to bring Portal to you as much as we can. Each day will mimic what it would in Portal, so our goal is for you to take time off to ‘attend’ the camp, as we will have activities throughout each day!
And don’t worry about the technology. We will put out a full primer on what you need, and to walk you through how to use tools like Zoom. But if you have a computer or a tablet, and broadband internet, you should be fine! We will have tech people on call to help during the camp.
You can check out our new interactive camp schedule, which will show each day of events, and which “room” (on Zoom) they will take place. (You can even display the times in the proper timezone, so you don’t get too confused). And there will be some fun surprises during the week!
The camp will cost $350 this year, and is all inclusive (except meals… we could send some nice pictures of the buffet tables, though, if you would like)
People that already signed up to attend this year will need to re-register! If you were already registered, and did NOT already receive an invitation for the private registration, then please contact Pete at itmbanjo@gmail.com immediately. Classes will be limited in size due to the difficulty of handling large groups in Zoom chats.
Private registration for people that got the invitations opens this Sunday, July 5.
Any remaining class slots will be available for general public registration on Tuesday, July 7.
We believe that we’ve put together an online program that can come as close to possible as the real thing, so we’re excited to see everyone!
Sincerely,
Pete Strickler
