Greetings, friends of PIMW!
Our virtual Portal Irish Music Week is less than two months away, and our team of instructors has been furiously working in preparation for making this camp a wonderful time!
I would like to put out a plea for Portal camp photos. I am looking for several different kinds of photos. I would love some photos of Portal classes, Portal scenery, Portal hikes, and Portal wildlife & birds. I don’t want to be overwhelmed with thousands of photos, but if you have 5-10 great photos that you’re willing to share, we will be using photos as part of some of the virtual events for this year. If you have some good photos, feel free to send them directly to me (itmbanjo@gmail.com) or you can put them up in Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer to get them to me.
Things are looking great for our virtual lineup, and we’ve had a good response for people signing up, so thank you! There are still some class slots available, if you’re thinking of attending this year. Available Class Slots:

So make sure you help us spread the word by telling your session mates and friends who might be interested!
As camp approaches, we will be sending out information to all registered attendees with regards to the technologies involved, and how to get them set up beforehand (if they aren’t already). And we will be planning a couple “practice run” get-togethers in the week before camp starts, so that you can check in, say hi, and see how the different technical aspects of the camp will work.
And don’t forget that there is an interactive daily schedule on our website, so you can see all of the planned events!
I just attended a virtual festival this last weekend, and had a great time, so I’m very much looking forward to PIMW 2020!
