Portal Irish Music Week 2023 – Core Tunes Announced

Published by Pete on

Greetings to all friends of Portal Irish Music Week!

It’s June already, which means that September will be here before you know it!

We finally wrangled some Core Tunes for this year’s camp out of the staff. You can find recordings of the Core Tunes Here: 2023 Core Tunes

If you haven’t attended PIMW before, the Core Tunes are not mandatory, but each year we pick some fun tunes that you will find played at sessions around the world. If you already know any of the tunes, that’s great! If not, we encourage you to learn them! This gives our sessions some common repertoire and also gives the instructors a chance to show you what they do with those tunes. Either way, learning these tunes will serve you well!

We’re looking forward to seeing many of you in New Mexico in September!

Sincerely,
Susan, Pete, and the 2023 PIMW Staff
