Greetings, friends of Portal!
Our 7th annual camp is coming up fast, and we’ve just released the camp and class schedule!
A few changes to point out this year:
Marla Fibish’s mandolin class has gotten popular enough that it will be split into two classes, based on skill level. This will allow more experienced players to learn at a faster pace, and less experienced players to not be left behind. Marla will help you in figuring out which class is right for you!
We’ve had Brian Lanni doing dance workshops in past years, but this year, Brian and his wife, Mary, will be teaching an actual dance class, which will be open to students, staff, AND local residents! This class will be held in the evenings in the time slot before dinner. This will be fun for all involved, and we will continue with ceili dancing after the Saturday concert.
Keith Murphy is teaching accompaniment this year, and we couldn’t be happier to have him on staff. Keith will also be anchoring at least one singing session during the week.
