We’re pleased to announce the formation of the first full scholarship to the Portal Irish Music Week. One recipient will receive full room, board, and tuition for the 2012 festival! The scholarship winner is responsible for transportation to and from Portal. We’ll help with arranging rides to and from the airport (either Tucson or Phoenix), if needed.
Interested students wishing to apply should submit a recording of themselves playing a tune (a reel or jig), and a one-page essay explaining why they would like to attend PIMW, and how a scholarship would help.
Entries should be e-mailed to info@portalmusicweek.com by Sept. 15, 2012.
